New TR range helps improve driver safety
- TDS launches feature packed GPS driver safety system
- Early warning for accident blackspots and speed cameras
- Easy to install, accurate and highly customisable
Technology Driven Solutions today announce the release of their new TR range of GPS driver information systems. With busier roads, increases of speed cameras expected from 6,000 to 12,000, and the expansion of congestion charging schemes around the country, the TR devices offer motorists a timely reminder of speed limits, accident blackspots and toll roads.
Offering all the functionality
of competitive speed detector systems, with additional features such as congestion and toll charge warnings together with the ability to programme mobile speed monitoring sites, the TR range is a market leader in innovative driver information systems.
Steve Boardman, founder of TDS, said, "With over 21 million cars on the road and one in ten motorists fined annually, the UK 's roads are busier than ever. We have developed the TR range with safety in mind, helping to reduce speeds, accidents and fines for motorists."
The TR30 & Lite have clear backlit screens, displaying GPS latitude and longitude, compass, road number and journey information, and emit an audible alert when nearing a speed restricted area monitored by fixed or temporary cameras, hand held radar or laser equipment and congestion charging areas. Complete with integrated front and rear laser detection the TR devices alert the driver to the use of laser detection equipment.
Following extensive customer research the TR30 offers a multi-coloured display that has been designed to match a car's interior display, changing colour when approaching a hazard. The colour settings, as with defining up to fifty customisable hazards, is enabled through a PC based programme and uploaded to the unit via a plug and play USB connection.
The acclaimed TDS database is compiled from the latest information from police, local authorities, DfT and road user associations and aims to provide motorists with the latest data.
The TR range is completely legal and is supported by the soon to be enacted Road Safety Bill, which sees GPS devices as complementary to the government's policy to ensure that camera sites are visible and conspicuous to drivers.
The TR range comprises two models, the TR30 Lite and the TR30. While both units are easy to use, effective and safe, the TR30 offers enhanced features such as multi-coloured displays, mobile site warnings, radio mute facility, radar and diffuser inputs. Both are supplied with a 3m installation cable, power leads, USB connection and PC software.
The TR30 Lite costs £179.99 and the TR30 £199.99, complete with a six month free subscription.
